Foolish Thoughts

David Frota
Poeta poliglota, David nos leva a refletir, em seus pensamentos (nada) tolos, sobre a obscura alma humana.
War, what is it all about?
Fight and die for gold and honor won’t bring you joy.
There’s so much more to will, don’t need to kill a boy.
Along with time, we believe that people change.
Anyway, human nature always looks for revenge. In a killing field I will never live.
But what do we expect our homelands to give?
Bullets and bombs annihilating our hearts,
While disturbed brains are keeping us apart. Our countries must share only one mind,
Leave all that bloodshed behind.
Before we lose one more brother, without any disease,
Let’s take care of the other, hunt for love and peace.Do you think imagining will lead you somewhere?
‘Cause if the answer is just blowing in the wind,
Be sure that will always be war out there.
